“It is morning.” Tim says, but scoots over to make room for Kon.

“Yea, but, like until the day actually begins or whatever.” Kon mumbles and buries his face into Tim’s pillow. He breathes in deep and makes a muffled noise of relief. 

“What happened?” Tim gently asks, stroking Kon’s back. 

Kon looks up, half embarrassed. “I…had a nightmare…” He begins and Tim’s on high alert. He runs a hand down Kon’s arm in soothing movements and Kon laughs nervously. “Nah man, it wasn’t anything serious…just…we were fighting these giant robot…poodles…” Kon’s face twitches and Tim raises an eyebrow at the word “poodles” but doesn’t say a word and continues to rub Kon’s arm. 

“…and well one of them lifted it’s leg and pissed on you.” Tim almost laughs. He pulls Kon down to his chest and begins making small comforting circles on the back of Kon’s neck. 

Kon sighs at his touch and rubs his face in Tim’s t-shirt. “Go on,” Tim quietly says. Kon groans and shifts them over so that Tim’s tucked underneath his arms. Tim can feel Kon’s nose on the back of his own neck and how he’s stilled all over. “Conner, what happened after?” he asks. Kon is definitely spooked. Tim tries to turn around to get a better look at his face, but Kon’s firm grip keeps him still. 

“We all laughed at you for getting pissed on by a giant dog…and then it turned out that it was actually acid and you started…melting. I-I had you in my arms and you just…you just died.” 

This time, Kon lets Tim turn around. He lets Tim cup his face and brush soft lips against his. “It was only a dream,” Tim gently says.

“Yea. I know.” Kon groans and scrubs his face with a hand. “It just freaked me out. So much. I just had to see if you were okay.” He blinks up at Tim as Tim pulls his hand away and shifts them closer together.

“I’m right here.” Tim says and strokes Kon’s furrowed eyebrows. “And I’ll make sure giant poodles don’t piss on me today.”

Kon scowls, but his expression softens at Tim’s grin. He smiles back and wraps a heavy leg around Tim’s thighs and pulls him close. He tucks his chin on the top of Tim’s head and hugs him tight. “Any tighter and I probably will die,” Tim’s says, voice muffled against Kon’s shirt. 

“Shut up,” Kon sleepily says, pulls him closer still.
